Job summary

Arcadis in the United States seeks a Sr. Power System Planning & Study Engineer to lead planning studies and power system analyses for North American clients.

You will coordinate with the Power Delivery team and work with Substation, Transmission, Protection & Control, and Renewables groups across Arcadis to deliver robust system studies. The role requires extensive experience with PSS/E/PSCAD and related tools, and may involve up to 25% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
• 8+ years' direct experience with power system study analysis and planning.
• Proficiency with PSS®E, PSCAD and PSS/E, plus PSLF, DigSILENT or DSA Tools desirable.
• Familiar with NA market operators (MISO, PJM, CAISO, ERCOT, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver complex power system study and planning projects.
• Perform load-flow, short-circuit, transient stability, and stability analyses.
• Produce thorough planning studies and client deliverables with QA.
• Collaborate across Arcadis teams and support cross-selling and staffing.
