Job summary

RESA Power in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking Field Techs to install, test, commission and maintain power systems equipment up to 500kV. You will diagnose faults, document procedures and support relay testing, protection schemes and control circuits on-site.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED and minimum 1 year of related field experience.
• Knowledge of NETA, NEC, OSHA and NFPA standards.
• Able to safely work with electrical equipment and follow safety procedures.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, perform start-up and data collection on HV/MV electrical systems.
• Install, commission, test, and maintain protective relaying equipment.
• Develop and document standardized commissioning, testing, and maintenance procedures.
• Perform functional testing of substation control circuits to validate relay operation.
• Rotate emergency on-call duties and respond to customer emergencies.
• Ensure work complies with regulatory safety standards.
