Job summary

RESA Power is seeking a Sr. Service Field Tech – Power Systems for on-site work across our US operations. The role covers testing, maintenance and startup of high voltage equipment up to 500 kV, with mentorship for Tech II–IV.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED (associate degree for Tech IV) and 5+ years (Tech IV) or 2+ years (Tech II). Travel 30–50%, valid driver’s license, strong safety culture, and experience with MCCs, breakers and infrared scanning are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years in a related field (Tech II) or 5+ years (Tech III/IV).
• Ability to work safely and follow electrical safety procedures.
• Experience with MCCs, breakers, relay testing, infrared scanning, and switchgear up to 500 kV is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, troubleshoot and collect data on HV equipment.
• Test and inspect low/medium voltage cable installations.
• Operate high voltage test equipment (e.g., Doble).
• Start-up, troubleshooting and repair on controls and transfer schemes.
• Rotate on-call duty and respond to customer emergencies.
