Job summary

Matrix Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer specializing in Industrial Power Systems and Distribution to join our Electrical Engineering team. You will lead design, analysis, and implementation of power systems for industrial facilities, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and mentoring junior staff.

The role includes studies, specifications, and coordination across clients and EPC projects, with a hybrid work setup and strong growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology (BSEE/BSEET) from an ABET-accredited institution.
• 6+ years of electrical engineering experience in industrial facilities, consulting engineering, EPC, manufacturing, or related industries.
• Experience designing low-voltage electrical power distribution systems for industrial facilities.
• Knowledge of NEC and industrial electrical design practices.
• Experience developing electrical construction documents and design packages.
• Ability to effectively communicate with clients, contractors, vendors, and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Strong organizational and project execution skills.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to travel approximately 25-30%, including occasional overnight travel.
• Authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical power system design projects for industrial and manufacturing facilities.
• Develop electrical construction packages including one-line diagrams, power plans, equipment layouts, conduit plans, cable schedules, and installation details.
• Design low- and medium-voltage power distribution systems, including switchgear, switchboards, MCCs, transformers, panelboards, and associated equipment.
• Perform electrical system analysis including Arc Flash Studies, Short Circuit Studies, Protective Device Coordination Studies, Load Flow Analysis, Power System Modeling.
• Develop technical specifications and equipment procurement packages.
• Perform electrical equipment sizing and selection.
• Apply NEC, NFPA, and industry standards to project designs.
• Coordinate project execution with clients, contractors, equipment suppliers, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Support construction activities, site investigations, commissioning efforts, startup activities, and field troubleshooting.
• Serve as Lead Electrical Engineer on projects of varying size and complexity.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
• Assist with technical proposals, scope development, budgeting, and project planning activities.
• Promote Matrix engineering standards, quality expectations, and safety initiatives.
