Job summary

Matrix Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer specializing in Industrial Power Systems and Distribution to lead design, analysis, and implementation for diverse industrial facilities.

You will work with clients and multidisciplinary teams, guiding projects from concept through startup. Ideal candidates have 6+ years in industrial electrical engineering, NEC knowledge, and experience in low-/medium-voltage distribution.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology (BSEE/BSEET) from an ABET-accredited institution.
6+ years of electrical engineering experience in industrial facilities, consulting engineering, EPC, manufacturing, or related industries.
Experience designing low-voltage electrical power distribution systems for industrial facilities.
Knowledge of NEC and industrial electrical design practices.
Experience developing electrical construction documents and design packages.
Ability to effectively communicate with clients, contractors, vendors, and multidisciplinary project teams.
Travel approximately 25-30% including occasional overnight travel.
Authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Lead electrical power system design projects for industrial facilities.
Develop electrical construction packages including one-line diagrams, power plans, equipment layouts, conduit plans, cable schedules, and installation details.
Design low- and medium-voltage power distribution systems, including switchgear, switchboards, MCCs, transformers, panelboards, and associated equipment.
Perform electrical system analysis including: Arc Flash Studies, Short Circuit Studies, Protective Device Coordination Studies, Load Flow Analysis, Power System Modeling.
Develop technical specifications and equipment procurement packages.
Perform electrical equipment sizing and selection.
Coordinate project execution with clients, contractors, equipment suppliers, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Support construction activities, site investigations, commissioning efforts, startup activities, and field troubleshooting.
Serve as Lead Electrical Engineer on projects of varying size and complexity.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
