Job summary

Eaton’s Electrical Engineering Services & Systems division seeks a Senior Power Systems Controls Engineer to lead design, programming, installation, startup, maintenance and optimization of automated control and power management systems.

This hybrid role includes travel throughout the Gulf Region of the United States, with an expected annual salary range of $86,000–$126,000 and benefits including paid overtime and a company vehicle. Salaries depend on skills and experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering with 3+ years PLC programming and power distribution controls experience OR 5+ years with high school/GED.
• Valid driver's license and clean MVR; some roles require travel within Gulf Region.
• Willingness to reside within 50-mile radius of posting location; relocation not offered.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, test, and deploy PLC, data concentrators, relays, and HMI software for automatic power transfer applications.
• Quote turnkey control schemes including labor/materials and scope.
• Assist with factory testing and field start-ups; troubleshoot onsite and remotely.
• Select components and create bill of materials; support Electrical Designers with project drawings.
