Job summary
WSP Global Inc. in Portland, OR is seeking a Power System Protection Engineer. You will work on ESSP projects, providing expertise in protective relaying, substations, and transmission systems. Remote work option allowed from a mutually acceptable location with occasional travel to client sites.
The role requires strong engineering expertise, leadership, and clear communication, with a focus on safety, QA/QC, and client relationships.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 5–7 years post-education experience as an electrical engineer.
- Engineer in Training Certification.
- Experience with operations and project controls for reporting and proposal development.
- Proficient knowledge of electrical engineering principles and design/build requirements.
- Experience with infrastructure planning, design, and construction management.
Responsibilities
- Complete assigned projects and maintain client relationships.
- Lead and mentor project team members on engagements.
- Perform electrical studies for utility and industrial clients.
- Analyze substations, generation facilities, and transmission systems.
- Prepare reports with QA/QC adherence and technical documentation.
