Job summary

WSP is seeking an ESSP Lead Protection Engineer with a Protective Relaying emphasis for our Boise, ID office, with consideration for multiple US locations and remote work options. You will design, engineer, and study protection systems for bulk power equipment including substations, transmission lines, generators, renewables, and distribution systems.

The role requires leadership of project teams, mentoring junior engineers, and coordinating with SCADA and protection disciplines while adhering

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering degree required.

Responsibilities

• Design, engineering, and studies of protection systems for equipment on the bulk power system.
• Lead teams on client projects to meet scope, schedule, and budget; mentor junior engineers.
• Support data collection through occasional on-site visits and discuss project specifics with clients.
