Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a senior electrical engineer for our Electrical Analytical Division. The role involves protection studies, relay setting development for HV/EHV systems, and generator/transformer protections. You will analyze relays and support clients with NERC PRC compliance.

The position supports a hybrid/flexible work schedule with on-site and remote work mix, and requires extensive experience in protection engineering and software tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with power systems focus.
• 7+ years in power system protection engineering.
• Experience with microprocessor relays and relay software.
• Experience with HV/EHV substation and line relaying.
• Experience with protection studies for generators, transformers, motors.

Responsibilities

• Perform protection system calculations and analysis for diverse clients.
• Develop relay settings for HV/EHV substations and transmission lines.
• Develop relay settings for generators, transformers, motors, and LV/MV protection devices.
• Assist clients to comply with NERC PRC standards.
• Relay event report analysis.
