Job summary

Rosendin is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to design and develop protection and automation systems for large power distribution projects. You will lead relay and RTAC/PLC schemes, coordinate with vendors, and ensure reliable system operation across turnkey data-center style developments.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and 8+ years of engineering design experience in electrical power systems, with strong knowledge of SEL/SIEMENS/ABB protection technology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and minimum of 8+ years of engineering design experience in electrical power systems.

Responsibilities

• Pre-construction design of power system protection and control using relays or RTAC/PLC for transfer schemes.
• Develop site-wide electrical distribution sequences for reliability and resiliency.
• Coordinate with utility, power plants, BESS, or combinations thereof.
• Evaluate vendor submittals to ensure conformance with design requirements.
• Lead vendor coordination meetings to align systems and equipment.
• Design interlock systems across mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical domains.
• Specify relaying and instruments for secure operation with internal teams.
• Develop system-wide automation using PLC/RTAC controllers and related schemes.
• Create protection/automation logic for various relays and architectures (IEC61850, Modbus, DNP).
• Provide failure analyses and metering/trig systems for event capture.
