Job summary

Rosendin is seeking an experienced electrical engineer to design and develop complex power distribution systems for large-scale data center campuses. The role involves protecting and automating power systems, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring turnkey delivery from design through start-up and commissioning.

The candidate should have a strong background in relaying, automation, and power studies, plus experience with SEL, Siemens, ABB, and GE equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 8+ years of engineering design experience in electrical power systems.
• Strong understanding of power distribution systems, relaying and automation systems.
• In-depth knowledge of SEL-751, SEL-787, SEL-487E, SEL-2411, SEL-3350 RTAC, Siemens 7SX82/85, Siemens 7UT, ABB REF615, etc.
• Experience with equipment like generators, transformers, switchgear, UPS/DRUPS and protection relays.
• Ability to perform power system study analysis (TCCs) and coordinate with multiple vendors.

Responsibilities

• Pre-construction design of protection and control for power systems using relays and RTAC.
• Design site-wide electrical distribution sequences of operation for reliability and resiliency.
• Coordinate with utility, power plants, BESS and other systems to ensure integration.
• Review vendor submittals to meet system design requirements and ensure compatibility.
• Lead vendor coordination meetings and develop interlock and automation schemes.
• Develop system protection architectures (IEC61850, Modbus, DNP).
• Provide failure analysis and event capturing for metering and protection studies.
