Job summary
Rosendin Electric is seeking a senior electrical engineer to design and develop complex power distribution systems for large-scale projects in the United States. You will lead protection and automation schemes, coordinate with vendors, and ensure system reliability from concept through commissioning.
The role requires 8+ years of engineering design experience in power systems, familiarity with SEL, Siemens and ABB relays, and a hands-on, collaborative approach to solving challenging electrical
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and minimum of 8+ years of engineering design experience in electrical power systems.
- Experience with protection and automation control in power systems is required.
- Knowledge of IEC61850, Modbus, DNP, and protection architectures is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Pre-construction design and development of power system protection and control schemes.
- Design and develop site-wide electrical distribution sequence of operation.
- Coordinate with utility, power plants, and BESS integrations.
- Review vendor submittals to ensure conformance with design requirements.
- Conduct vendor coordination meetings to ensure interoperability.
- Develop relay protection and automation logics for multiple relays.
- Design system protection architectures and event capture for analysis.
