Job summary
Rosendin Electric seeks an experienced electrical engineer to lead protection, automation and power distribution design for complex data-center projects. You will define relay schemes, study protection architectures, and coordinate with vendors to deliver turnkey solutions.
You will work with internal teams to ensure reliable, compliant systems and have opportunities to shape design standards on high-profile national projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years of electrical power systems design experience.
- Experience designing power distribution, protection, and control architectures.
- Strong knowledge of relays, automation and vendor coordination.
Responsibilities
- Pre-construction design of protection and control for power systems and automatic transfer schemes.
- Develop site-wide electrical distribution sequence of operation for reliability.
- Coordinate with utility, power plants and energy storage systems; review vendor submittals.
- Design and develop interlock and automation systems; ensure secure operation.
- Specify relaying and instrument transformers to meet system requirements.
- Develop system protection architectures (IEC61850, Modbus, DNP).
- Provide event analysis and metering/triggering for fault analysis.
