Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Sr. Power System Planning & Study Engineer to join the Power Delivery team in the USA. You will coordinate and develop the Power System Planning & Study group and perform HVAC/HVDC planning and interconnection studies for North America, with some global work.

Travel up to 25% to client sites and meetings is expected. A PE license is preferred, and strong knowledge of NA market operators (MISO, PJM, CAISO, NYISO, ERCOT, etc.) is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required or equivalent.
• 8+ years direct experience in power system study analysis and planning.
• Proficiency with PSS/E, PSCAD, and PSS/E-based load-flow/short-circuit analysis; familiarity with alternative tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver complex power system study and planning projects for various clients.
• Perform load-flow, short-circuit, transient stability, and related analyses.
• Coordinate with Arcadis teams and manage project scopes, budgets, and proposals.
