Job summary

The Perry Group, Ltd. is seeking an experienced design-build/EPC Project Manager with significant experience in heavy industrial power / power plants. Responsibilities include defining projects, budgets, schedules, and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure profitability.

Required are 13+ years of relevant work experience and PMP, CCM or DBIA certification within 12 months. Travel is up to 10% with a strong emphasis on leadership and execution.

Qualifications

• Significant experience with project management methodology including budget development, project planning, control and assurance methodologies.
• Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
• Interpersonal and presentation skills for interacting with team members and clients.
• Ability to interact with varying levels of staff and with vendors/subcontractors.
• Excellent PC skills including MS Word and Excel.
• Strong organizational skills to balance and prioritize work.
• Knowledge of building materials and construction methods; understanding of production of construction documents.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Creates project definitions, schedules, budgets, and objectives for projects.
• Prepares detailed statements of work with work breakdown structures and gains concurrence from stakeholders.
• Manages project costs and profitability.
• Prepares and reviews client billings and ensures timely payment; reviews subcontractor invoices.
• Monitors project status, risks, and change management; escalates as needed.
• Communicates deadlines and objectives to project team.
• Prepares overall project schedule/timeline and in-house budgets.
• Facilitates meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
• Mentors less experienced Project Managers.
• Prepares monthly reports, bid packages, addendums, and contract modifications.
