Job summary

The Perry Group, Ltd., a CDM Smith company, seeks an experienced design-build/EPC Project Manager with substantial heavy industrial power plant experience. You will define projects, manage budgets, and drive profitability while coordinating with clients and internal teams.

Responsibilities include scheduling, change control, invoicing, submittals, and risk review. A bachelor’s degree and 13+ years of experience are required; PMP/CCM/DBIA certification is expected within 12 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Thirteen (13) or more years of relevant work experience.
• PMP (PMI), CCM or DBIA certification is required (within 12 months of hire or promotion onto the Approved Project Manager list).

Responsibilities

• Creates project definitions, schedules, budgets, and objectives for projects.
• Prepares detailed statements of work with work breakdown structures and gains concurrence from stakeholders.
• Manages project costs and profitability.
• Creates and reviews client billings and ensures timely payment; reviews subcontractor/vendor invoices.
• Monitors project status and risks; escalates as appropriate.
• Manages change using change management protocols.
• Communicates deadlines, assignments, and objectives to project teams.
• Prepares project schedules, timelines, and in-house budgets by group.
• Coordinates submittals to local/state/federal agencies.
• Reviews and approves Engineering Change Notices when appropriate.
• Prepares monthly reports and bid packages.
• Files and stores project documents.
• Mentors less experienced Project Managers.
