Job summary
RTX in Huntsville, Alabama is seeking a Senior Power Engineer to join the System Power, Analog and Controls Department. You will design, analyze, simulate, and test power conversion circuitry, guiding ECAD/PWB layout and working to meet schedule and program reviews.
Required: STEM degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, expertise in linear converters (buck/boost/buck-boost), analog circuit design, EMI considerations, and familiarity with tools like SIMPLIS, Saber, DxDesigner, and HyperLynx.
Qualifications
- Typically requires STEM degree with 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience in design, analysis, simulation, and testing of power converters.
- Experience with non-isolated converter topologies: buck, boost, buck-boost.
- Experience with analog electronics: FET, BJT, and Op-amp circuits.
Responsibilities
- Design, analyze, simulate, and test power conversion circuitry.
- Guide ECAD personnel through PWB layout of power circuitry.
- Perform design work within given schedules and present reviews to leadership.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design integrity and performance.
