Job summary
RTX seeks a Power Design Electrical Engineer in Huntsville, AL, onsite. You will design, analyze, simulate, and test power conversion circuitry, guiding ECAD through PWB layout and drawings while meeting project schedules.
The role requires a STEM degree and 2+ years in linear converters, with expertise in analog electronics, various topologies, and thermal considerations. On-site with potential relocation support.
Qualifications
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in design, analysis, simulation, and/or test experience with linear converters.
- Experience with buck, boost, buck-boost topologies.
- Experience with design, analysis, and test with analog electronics including FET, BJT, and/or op-amp circuits.
Responsibilities
- Design, analyze (including thermal considerations), simulate, and test power conversion circuitry using standard topologies.
- Guide ECAD personnel through PWB layout of power circuitry and technical drawing creation.
- Perform design work within the given schedule.
- Present reviews of technical data to program leadership and technical staff.
