Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the full product development lifecycle for power electronics systems, including home energy storage concepts. You will collaborate with a cross‑functional team to bring designs from concept to high‑volume production, combining simulation and hands‑on hardware.

The role requires hands‑on experience with high voltage systems, battery management, and PCB design using Altium, with strong debugging and lab testing skills.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering with 3 years in power electronics.
• Experience with battery management systems, inverters, charge systems.
• Proficient with Altium Designer schematic capture and PCB layout.
• Strong lab skills for power conversion testing and analysis.
• Experience with high voltage, current, and power.
• Proficient in prototyping and rework (hot air, soldering, cleaning).
• Familiarity with embedded control and programming of microcontrollers/PLDs.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to product level features, design, and vision.
• Detail design of tester interface boards and power electronics.
• Bring up and test systems to validate performance.
• Develop test mechanisms for PCBAs and complete system.
• Collaborate with ME on bed of nails fixture.
• Work with mechanical, thermal, reliability, and firmware teams.
• Own electrical aspect from design through manufacturing.
• Debug down to component level.
