Job summary

Milwaukee Tool in Wisconsin seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead hardware and power electronics development for chargers and portable power solutions.

You will own end-to-end design from concept through mass production, prototype, test, review, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet requirements and milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in power electronics or mixed-signal hardware design, preferably chargers/adapters/inverter-based systems.
• Fundamental understanding of lithium-ion battery charging and power conversion interfaces.
• Strong understanding of switching power supply topologies, magnetics, control methods, and power device selection.

Responsibilities

• Design, prototype, test, and troubleshoot embedded electronics hardware and firmware across topology and component selection, schematic capture, PCB layout, prototyping, and test plan execution.
• Partner with cross-functional project teams to drive trade-off discussions and align on electronics requirements for NPD projects.
• Communicate complex power electronics topics effectively to technical and non-technical team members.
• Research and engage with suppliers on new technologies including power conversion ICs, controllers, magnetics, and related components.
• Create Work Breakdown Structures, drive milestones, and help the team resolve technical and execution barriers.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering tools, processes, and team capability as portfolio grows.
