Job summary

Milwaukee Tool, headquartered in Brookfield, WI, seeks a Sr Electrical Engineer – Battery Electronics to lead embedded hardware and firmware development for advanced battery/electronics products. You will drive design, testing, and supplier engagement in a fast-paced team environment.

Requirements include a BS in Electrical Engineering or CS and 5+ years in embedded electronics, with preference for lithium-ion BMS expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science required.
• 5+ years of embedded electronics design experience with 16/32-bit MCUs.
• Experience in power management for low-power embedded hardware.
• Knowledge of Lithium-Ion battery management strategies and ICs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, prototype, test and troubleshoot embedded electronics hardware and firmware for complex projects.
• Engage with suppliers on Lithium-Ion BMS ASICs, MCUs and other ICs.
• Provide engineering support on high‑complexity programs.
• Communicate progress and escalate barriers to management.
• Travel up to 10% of the time.
