WSP Global Inc. in New Orleans, LA, is seeking a Senior Power Delivery Project Manager to lead the development, execution, and monitoring of transmission, distribution, and substation initiatives.

The role covers proposals, planning, procurement, construction, and closeout in a regulated energy environment. You will travel regionally for face‑to‑face meetings and work remotely from a mutually agreed location within the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Civil, Mechanical), Engineering Technology, Physical Sciences, or related discipline.
• 12+ years of post-education experience in a project management or senior technical leadership role, preferably in power delivery, transmission & distribution, substation, or utility capital projects.
• Strong understanding of the project delivery lifecycle within A/E/C and utility industries, with a focus on Power Delivery project management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with executive leadership, utility clients (IOUs, IPPs, Co‑Ops, Munis), subcontractors, consultants, and internal teams.

Responsabilités

• Provide PM leadership for large‑scale transmission, distribution, and substation projects with clear ownership and milestones.
• Develop stakeholder engagement and reporting strategies for clients, leadership, engineers, contractors, and regulators.
• Support pursuit, initiation, and startup phases, aiding Go/No‑Go decisions, contract reviews, pricing strategies, and risk mitigation.
• Lead contract negotiations, scope alignment discussions, and project execution meetings with IOUs, IPPs, cooperatives, and public power clients.
• Enforce QA/QC, safety, and adherence to utility standards and WSP quality plans.
• Provide written and verbal input to multi‑disciplinary teams and advise clients on schedule, cost, constructability, and execution strategy.
• Mentor and coach project managers, engineers, and support staff on career development and leadership growth.
• Manage staff performance and ensure alignment with safety and delivery standards.
• Maintain governance for PMP, QP, PSP, risk registers, and other PM systems.
• Coordinate staffing, subcontracting, and resource needs across Power Delivery programs.
• Maintain regular client communications with monthly progress reports and risk updates.
• Support project recovery and root cause analyses to drive improvements.
• Oversee accounts receivable, unbilled revenue, cash flow, and invoicing in collaboration with project accounting.
