Job summary

WSP Global Inc. is seeking a Senior Overhead Distribution/Transmission Line Project Engineer for the West Region. Hybrid role across multiple US offices including San Diego, with potential remote work and travel as needed.

You will lead engineering efforts for 46 kV–138 kV projects, mentor staff, and coordinate with clients and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality solutions in power delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required.
• 7–10 years post-education experience in electrical engineering for transmission and distribution.
• Professional engineer license (multi-state preferred).
• Experience with NESC, RUS, or GO-95.
• Strong command of English; good written and spoken communication.
• Travel may be required for project work.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering of distribution/transmission projects up to 138 kV.
• Develop initial project layouts and schedules to establish an efficient plan.
• Coordinate with clients and teams; mentor staff.
• Ensure QA/QC adherence; apply disciplined engineering practices.
• Provide technical leadership on PLS-CADD and related tasks.
• Support PM with scope, schedule, and budget; lead client meetings.
