Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Principal Test Engineer to verify power, analog and mixed-signal electronics, leading test plans and ensuring product reliability in challenging defense systems.

You will mentor junior engineers, collaborate with program teams to meet cost and schedule targets, and help transition products from development to production. A DoD Secret clearance and 8+ years in EE testing are required.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 8 years of experience, or a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 5 years of experience.
• Experience in electronics testing, including integration and verification of power and/or analog-oriented products.
• Experience with circuit card assembly processes and related industry specifications.
• Experience with hardware testing methodologies and/or root-cause corrective action investigations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct testing and verification of power, analog, and digital oriented electronics products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support development, integration, and sustainment of power systems, servo electronics, and mixed-signal electronics.
• Design and implement test plans and procedures to ensure product functionality and reliability.
• Lead root-cause investigations and corrective actions for test anomalies.
• Support the transition of products from development to production, ensuring quality and compliance.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.
• Partner with program teams to meet cost, schedule, and technical requirements.
