Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Principal Test Engineer to verify power, analog and mixed-signal electronics in support of DoD programs. You will lead testing efforts, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure product readiness from development through production.

Requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years of experience (or Master’s with 5+) and active DoD clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years of experience, or Master’s with 5+ years.
• Experience in electronics testing including power, analog, and digital verification.
• Experience with circuit card assembly processes and related specs.
• Experience with hardware testing methodologies and RCA investigations.

Responsibilities

• Test and verify power, analog, and digital electronics products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on development, integration, and sustainment of power systems.
• Design and implement test plans and procedures for function and reliability.
• Lead root-cause investigations and corrective actions for test anomalies.
• Support transition from development to production ensuring quality and compliance.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Partner with program teams to meet cost, schedule, and technical requirements.
