Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal Test Engineer to verify power, analog, and digital oriented electronics for defense systems at an onsite Tucson location. You will lead test planning, perform robust verification, and mentor junior engineers while supporting transition from development to production.

The role requires a Bachelor's (or Master’s) in Electrical Engineering with extensive electronics testing experience and an active DoD security clearance.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years of experience, or MS with 5+ years.
• Experience in electronics testing, including power/analog products.
• Experience with circuit card assembly and related specs.
• Experience with hardware testing methodologies and/or root-cause investigations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct testing and verification of power, analog, and digital oriented electronics products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support development, integration, and sustainment of power systems, servo electronics, and mixed-signal electronics.
• Design and implement test plans and procedures to ensure product functionality and reliability.
• Lead root-cause investigations and corrective actions for test anomalies.
• Support the transition of products from development to production, ensuring quality and compliance.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.
• Partner with program teams to meet cost, schedule, and technical requirements.
