Job summary

UVA Health in Charlottesville, VA is seeking a Medical Assistant to support RNs in a busy clinic. You will perform clinical tasks (vital signs, medication review, refills) and assist with administrative duties such as retrieving medical records and processing prior authorizations, under supervision.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma, 3 years of clinical experience, BLS certification, and CMA/EMT certifications recognized by national bodies.

Qualifications

• Assists RN with clinical and administrative tasks per standards.
• Supports retrieval of medical records and prior authorizations.
• Provides patient education and assists with procedures as directed.

Responsibilities
