Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 7+ years of P&C insurance/reinsurance experience; 5+ years in underwriting preferred.
• Ability to translate large data analysis into actionable decisions.
• Understanding of rate development (pure premium), price segmentation & detecting leading loss trends.
• Experience with achieving profit and growth targets for a book of business.
• Negotiation and conflict resolution experience.
• HSB product knowledge or familiarity is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage, monitor, expand, and optimize a portfolio of key client relationships.
• Act as a thought leader to devise data-driven solutions using diagnostic and predictive analytics.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and the Underwriting Lead on performance improvements.
• Present financial results, data analyses, rate assessments, and loss trends to clients externally.
• Make underwriting decisions with binding authority to influence P&L.
