Job summary

The Hartford Steam Boiler, a Munich Re company, seeks a Senior Portfolio Underwriter to manage and optimize portfolio products for top client relationships in the United States. You will drive profitability, growth, and lead new product introductions as a key contributor.

You will collaborate with Product Managers and the Underwriting Lead, applying diagnostic and predictive analytics to improve rate adequacy, segmentation, and loss trends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required.
• 7+ years of P&C insurance/reinsurance experience with underwriting preferred.
• Strong understanding of commercial and personal lines insurance and reinsurance concepts and processes.
• Ability to translate large data analysis into actionable decisions.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize portfolio products for key client relationships.
• Lead data analysis to identify rate adequacy, price segmentation, and loss trends.
• Develop and deliver client-facing presentations with financial results and trend insights.
• Make underwriting decisions with binding authority affecting portfolio profitability.
