Job summary

Switchback Medical LLC in Minneapolis seeks a Sr. Director of Program Management to lead the PMO, shape standards across the site, and own the customer experience from development through sustaining work.

This leader-of-leaders role partners with Operations, Quality, Engineering, Finance and Business Development; success is measured by PMO strength, program consistency, and customer willingness to bring future projects to Switchback.

Qualifications

• Ten years of project/program management experience in a regulated environment, including at least five years managing program or project managers.
• Deep knowledge of medical device regulations and quality systems (FDA, ISO 13485), design control, and risk management.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a team of program managers.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen — budgets, quoting, change orders, margins, utilization.
• Experience in a CDMO or other customer-facing development environment preferred.
• Excellent strategic thinking and communication with customer executives.
• Ability to lead through influence across functions and leaders outside the direct reporting line.
• Proficiency with MS Office and program management/ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the PMO team — Directors, Managers, and Coordinators — with hiring, onboarding, and performance management.
• Own PMO strategy, structure, and standards across the Minneapolis site.
• Define portfolio-level metrics and report health, risk, and opportunities to leadership.
• Own customer satisfaction measurement and executive relationships across the portfolio.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Finance to deliver product and process development on time and budget.
• Represent Minneapolis in cross-entity program management practice and drive portfolio impact.
