Job summary

SMC Ltd. is seeking an Associate Director of Program Management to provide strategic and operational leadership for the PMO and to deliver a portfolio of complex customer programs from award through development, tooling, validation, manufacturing launch, and production.

The role requires coordinating with Sales, Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Finance to ensure programs meet scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards while maintaining strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Science, Project Management, or a related field is required.
• Minimum experience leading and developing professional Program or Project Management personnel.
• Experience managing complex, multi-functional programs in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Program Management organization, including Program Managers and staff.
• Establish expectations, priorities, accountability, and performance standards for the PM team.
• Provide leadership across the customer program portfolio and ensure adequate tools and processes are available.
• Maintain consistent program management practices across SMC and model accountability and collaboration.
• Drive program execution against approved scope, schedule, cost, and quality.
• Monitor program performance, identify risks, and escalate when needed.
• Oversee financial management: budgets, forecasts, costs, and change orders.
• Support commercial discussions and scope-change management with Sales and customers.
