Job summary

HDR, an employee-owned firm, seeks a Senior Project Manager - Transmission Routing & Siting in Dallas to lead complex routing and siting efforts for electric transmission projects. You will work with utility and developer teams, regulators, and landowners to develop buildable solutions and manage project scope, schedule, and budget.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in linear projects with routing, siting and regulatory experience, and 5+ years in project management, with strong communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field.
• 10 years related experience in transmission routing/environmental planning.
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience.
• Strong Microsoft Office and project management software skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop buildable routing and siting solutions for utility and developer infrastructure.
• Coordinate with project teams including utility staff and consultants.
• Engage with government agencies, regulators, communities, and landowners.
• Prepare testimony and technical documentation for defensible line routes and site selections.
• Define and monitor project scope, schedule, and budget.
• Mentor and develop newer staff to deliver client work.
• Build key relationships with HDR and utility staff.
• Engage in strategic thinking, networking, and client relations.
• Travel about 10–20% of the time.
