Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Manager (Power Transmission Routing & Siting) to lead routing and siting solutions for electric transmission projects. Join one of the top employee-owned firms and contribute to regional and national projects in HDR’s Southwest Region.

You will work with utility staff, developers, regulators and communities to develop buildable routes, prepare testimony, monitor budgets, and mentor junior staff while traveling 10-20% of the time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field is required.
• 10 years of related experience in linear projects especially routing or environmental planning.
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, estimating and scheduling software.
• Ability to interact with design teams and communicate effectively.
• Commitment to HDR's employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Develop buildable routing and siting solutions for electric transmission projects.
• Collaborate with project teams including utility staff and consultants.
• Engage with government agencies, regulators, communities and landowners.
• Prepare testimony and technical documentation for route and site selection.
• Manage project scope, schedule and budget.
• Mentor and develop newer staff to deliver client work.
• Build key relationships with HDR and utility staff.
• Travel 10-20% of the time; perform other duties as needed.
