Job summary

Humana is seeking a Senior Project Manager to support PMO and system modernization projects within the Wisconsin Medicaid Market. You will oversee audits, coordinate resources, and drive project schedules. The role starts January 2027 and requires PMP certification and 5+ years of PM experience.

The position is home-based with occasional Humana office collaboration, offering a 40-hour workweek, minimal travel to WI, and a bonus program. Compensation ranges from $86,300 to $118,700 per year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years of project management, business, operational, or technical experience.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• 1+ years of experience leading project management best practices, contributing to PMO standards, and building organizational project management maturity.
• Must reside within Wisconsin or a neighboring state commutable to Wisconsin (MN, IA, IL, MI).

Responsibilities

• Oversees projects for the Wisconsin Market Compliance Department with a primary focus on managing internal and external audits.
• Designs, communicates, and implements an operational plan for completing projects, monitoring progress and performance against the project plan, and takes action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays.
• Identify, develop, and gather the resources to complete the project.
• Prepare work specifications, develops project schedules with project staff and external contractors.
• Communicate with other operational areas in the organization to secure specialized resources and contributions for the project.
• Conduct meetings and prepare reports to communicate the status of the project.
• Set priorities, allocate tasks, and coordinate project staff to meet project targets and milestones.
• Identifies audit requirements, gathers, and reviews data, and submits requirements to meet audit timelines.
• Coordinate communication with external auditors and prepare internal associates for audit interactions.
• Review audit findings, coordinates follow‑up with auditors, and works with departments to develop and track remediation plans.
• Understand contractual requirements, operating systems, department functions, and policies required to conduct business and collaborate with others to support audit requirements.
