Job summary

JE Dunn Construction in Lincoln, Nebraska, is seeking an experienced Project Manager within the Advanced Facilities Group to lead complex industrial and data center projects. You will manage preconstruction activities, risk, and coordination with owners, designers, and subs, while upholding a strong safety culture.

The role emphasizes schedule, budgeting, and procurement, with extensive collaboration across teams and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field.
• In lieu of the above requirements, equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
• 5+ years construction management experience.
• Valid and unrestricted driver's license required.
• Must be able to travel and relocate as needed.
• Must be willing to work non-traditional hours to meet project needs.

Responsibilities

• Leads all aspects of safety culture and mentors staff to injury-free operations.
• Manages the prestart process and coordinates with preconstruction teams.
• Supports preconstruction: quantity takeoff, trade coordination and scope development, bid package creation and bid advertising.
• Leads buyout scheduling and subcontractor pricing and analyzes gaps against initial scope.
• Manages submittal schedule, reviews shop drawings, and coordinates with architects/engineers.
• Ensures approved submittals are returned to subs and available to project team.
• Coordinates with logistics for pricing on materials and equipment.
• Manages change requests and ensures owner/architect approvals.
• Leads monthly project reviews, progress meetings and OAC meetings.
• Prepares monthly cost/margin forecasts and contributes to budget development.
• Leads project closeout using best-practice tools and processes.
