Job summary

INEOS Battleground Manufacturing Complex in La Porte, TX seeks a PLC Engineer to own PLC lifecycle, lead complex troubleshooting, and drive reliability improvements. You will coordinate with Capital Projects, telecom/network teams, and site operations to ensure safety and continuous production.

The role requires 3+ years with PLCs and hands-on hardware experience. The position emphasizes maintenance planning, project charters, and knowledge transfer to unit I&E staff, with accountability for

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Automation, Electrical, Chemical, Computer Engineering or related field.
Minimum 3 years experience with PLC or automation equipment.
Hands-on experience with PLC brands (Rockwell, Emerson, Triconex, HIMA, GE, Siemens).
Familiarity with networked PLCs and remote access.

Responsibilities

Lead reliability stewardship and lifecycle management of existing and new PLC systems.
Provide detailed troubleshooting and technical review for hardware, software, and interfaces.
Coordinate with Capital Projects for reviews, turnover documentation and acceptance.
Support unit I/E engineering activities and troubleshoot control systems.
Train and mentor maintenance technicians on PLC systems.
Develop PLC maintenance, upgrade, migration, and replacement strategies.
