Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Lead PLC Controls Technician for nationwide, remote-enabled data center projects. You will lead field teams through installation, startup, and commissioning of advanced automation systems, troubleshooting PLCs, SCADA/HMI, and industrial networks.

Role requires 5+ years in PLC controls, proficiency with Studio 5000, FactoryTalk, and Siemens or equivalent platforms, and willingness to travel ~95% of the time. Travel-paid per diem and lodging are provided.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience with PLC controls and industrial automation.
Experience with startup, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of PLC systems.
Leadership or coordination experience with field technicians.

Responsibilities

Oversee PLC installation verification, startup, commissioning, testing, and turnover.
Troubleshoot PLC programming, I/O, networks, and integration issues.
Support SCADA/HMI integration and network validation.
Review drawings and commissioning documentation.
Coordinate with engineers, PMs, contractors, and teams to resolve issues.
Oversee field quality, safety, and project closeout.
Mentor technicians and provide technical leadership.
