CrowdStrike, Inc. is seeking a Senior Engineer (SRE) to operate at the intersection of Core Platform and Embedded Reliability.

You will build foundational libraries and services, embedding with product teams to ensure reliability at scale across a fast-growing cloud-native security platform. This hands-on role emphasizes architectural decisions, high autonomy, and collaboration across multiple product groups.

Qualifications

• 10+ years building and operating distributed systems.
• 5+ years developing microservices for a SaaS product.
• Expert in at least one programming language (Go, Java, Scala, Kotlin, Python, Node.js).
• Deep understanding of distributed systems: consensus, replication, consistency, failure modes.
• Proven experience scaling backend systems: sharding, partitioning, capacity planning, performance optimization.
• Strong systems thinking and ability to influence across teams.
• Track record of making architectural decisions and delivering production impact.
• CS degree or commensurate experience; experience with AI tech is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Define and drive multi-year reliability roadmaps with engineering leadership.
• Architectural improvements to services, libraries, and platforms.
• Develop and maintain services that meet reliability and scalability goals.
• Extend and build libraries for cross-cutting concerns across CrowdStrike’s cloud platform.
• Lead reliability, scalability, performance, and cost-optimization initiatives.
• Establish observability practices and actionable SLOs/SLIs/alerts.
• Mentor engineers and drive architectural standards across the org.
• Collaborate across teams and evangelize best practices, especially Go-driven design.
