Job summary

CrowdStrike Inc. is hiring an Engineer II to join the TechOps SRE team focused on our Commercial Cloud. You will develop automation and tooling to ensure delivery of mission-critical services for large-scale distributed systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years in a large-scale production environment.
• 2+ years in software engineering.
• 2+ years in one or more of C++, Java, Python, Go.
• Experience with storage technologies (SAN, NAS, NFS, Object Storage, etc.).
• Experience with Linux, Windows, VMware, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
• Experience writing technical documentation.
• Experience with configuration management tools (Puppet, Chef, Ansible).
• Strong understanding of system design and trade-offs.
• Analytical, ownership driven, and collaborative in diverse teams.
• Experience applying AI to improve decision-making and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate the platform with emphasis on Availability, Latency, Throughput, Monitoring, and Capacity planning.
• Lead incident analysis and drive incident response practices across the team.
• Troubleshoot server hardware and software issues across thousands of servers.
• Collaborate with distributed teams worldwide to keep systems reliable 24x7.
• Get up to speed quickly on new technologies and adopt best practices.
• Analyze metrics from OS and apps to tune performance and fault finding.
• Champion improvements in reliability and efficiency of the overall process flow.
• Lead small or larger projects to improve platform reliability.
