Job summary

CrowdStrike Inc. is seeking a Principal SRE to operate at the intersection of Core Platform and Embedded Reliability. You will build foundational libraries and services, embedded with product teams to drive reliability at scale.

You will shape architectural decisions, lead incidents, and mentor engineers while advancing observability and automation across a large distributed system.Hybrid role in multiple US locations with in-office days.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience building and operating distributed systems.
• 5+ years developing microservices for a SaaS product in a modern backend language.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive multi-year reliability roadmaps with engineering leadership.
• Design architectural improvements to services, libraries, and platforms across CrowdStrike.
• Develop and maintain services meeting reliability, scalability, and cost targets.
• Lead initiatives around reliability, scalability, performance, and cloud efficiency.
• Establish observability practices and drive automation such as CI/CD.
• Define service-level objectives and error budgets to guide decisions.
• Mentor engineers and raise architectural standards across the org.
• Contribute to open source and advocate best practices for Go.
