Job summary

Akamai, a leader in cloud technology, seeks a Senior Product Manager for Platform Security & Infrastructure to drive security-focused platform initiatives and infrastructure roadmaps. You will partner with engineering, hardware vendors, and internal stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure solutions.

You will translate business cases into actionable product plans, manage lifecycle decisions from refactoring to End-of-Life, and ensure operational excellence under high-pressure conditions.

Qualifications

• 12 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or its equivalent.
• Customer-first focus with automation, usability and low-friction integration.
• Good understanding of compute resource management, rack orchestration, and hardware-level APIs.
• Knowledge of routing management, IP configuration, and network redundancy.
• Proficient in developing both business and technical models.
• Familiarity with authentication protocols and enterprise security requirements.
• Builds relationships and secures buy-in from engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Managing delivery roadmaps to ensure capacity and feature goals are met.
• Operationalizing paved paths for security, ensuring extensible tools and secure vendor support for infrastructure access.
• Developing business analysis and financial models for business cases and long-term planning.
• Supporting internal teams, developers and stakeholders while scaling systems.
• Managing lifecycle of core components with data-driven decisions on technical debt.
• Collaborating with hardware vendors and suppliers to align roadmaps with product goals.
• Representing user objectives and identifying enhancements for monitoring and maintenance.
