Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Sr. Business Analyst for the Starlink Platform Integrity team. You will identify platform integrity risks, develop detection strategies, and investigate misuse while balancing customer privacy and enforcement measures.

Collaboration with cross-functional teams and periodic legal/compliance reviews are essential aspects of the role. The position is based onsite in Hawthorne, CA, with travel up to 15% and a schedule that may require extended hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of professional experience in global affairs, intelligence, or investigations.
• 4+ years of experience with data querying languages (e.g., SQL), scripting languages (e.g., Python), geospatial tools (e.g., ArcGIS), and/or statistical software (e.g., R).
• 4+ years of experience investigating, mitigating, or dealing with illicit operators (e.g., fraud, abuse, cybersecurity, or other illicit activities)

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify and assess platform integrity and abuse risks
• Develop technical detection and mitigation strategies
• React to investigate potential issues such as scams, fraud, and illicit goods/activities
• Partner with cross-functional teams and deepen our relationships with them
• Conduct periodic reviews to support legal and compliance obligations
• Execute with consideration for customer privacy, targeting activities of indisputable harm and avoiding overreach
