Job summary

CVS Health Corporation seeks a Senior Manager, Platform Engineering / DevOps to lead enterprise-scale cloud platform initiatives with a balance of hands-on engineering and people leadership.

You will own the H100 platform roadmap, champion GitOps and CI/CD, enforce security and governance, mentor engineers, and partner with security, networking, and applications teams to deliver reliable services. This remote-friendly role requires strong DevOps, SRE, and cloud networking expertise.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or SRE.
• 4+ years of experience in team leadership, management, or technical lead roles, leading mid-sized teams (5 to 10 engineers).
• 3+ years of experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) including GKE, IAM, networking, monitoring
• 4+ years of experience with Agile/Scrum delivery and sprint execution
• 1+ years of experience with AI-driven operations or automation frameworks
• 3+ years of experience with cloud networking (VPCs, routing, load balancing, firewalls, DNS, hybrid connectivity) and production on-call environments
• 3+ years of experience with databases (SQL, Oracle, MongoDB, Cassandra, Cloud Spanner, Kafka)
• Certifications such as PMP, Scrum Master, or GCP Professional Cloud Architect are a plus

Responsibilities

• Own and execute the H100 platform engineering roadmap aligned to priorities and milestones.
• Drive delivery of GCP-based platform capabilities (GKE, networking, IAM, CI/CD, observability).
• Establish and enforce engineering standards, best practices, and ADR compliance.
• Ensure security, compliance, and governance requirements (SOC2, HIPAA).
• Partner with stakeholders and cross-functional teams (security, networking, applications).
• Provide status reporting, risk management, and mitigation strategies across streams.
• Oversee GitOps adoption and CI/CD frameworks (Config Sync, ArgoCD, GitHub Actions).
• Monitor SLOs and operational metrics (uptime, MTTR, deployment frequency).
• Lead incident response, runbooks, and on-call rotations; mentor engineers.
