Job summary

CVS Health Corporation in the United States is seeking a Senior Manager for Platform Engineering / DevOps to lead a team delivering enterprise-scale cloud platforms. You will own the roadmap, drive GCP-based platform capabilities (GKE, IAM, CI/CD), and ensure security, compliance, and reliability across multiple workstreams.

You’ll mentor engineers, coordinate with security, networking, and applications teams, and promote best practices in GitOps, SRE, and observability.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in DevOps, platform engineering, or SRE.
• 4+ years leading mid-sized teams (5–10 engineers).
• Experience with GCP, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and IaC.
• Strong collaboration with security, networking, and applications teams.
• 1+ years of AI-driven operations or automation frameworks.
• 3+ years of cloud networking (VPCs, routing, load balancing, firewalls, DNS).

Responsibilities

• Own and execute the H100 platform engineering roadmap, aligned to enterprise priorities and program milestones.
• Drive delivery of GCP-based platform capabilities (GKE, networking, IAM, CI/CD, observability).
• Establish and enforce engineering standards, best practices, and ADR compliance.
• Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and governance requirements (SOC2, HIPAA).
• Partner with client stakeholders and cross-functional teams (security, networking, applications).
• Provide clear status reporting, risk identification, and mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate dependencies across teams and delivery streams.
• Act as a technical and delivery point of contact for platform-related discussions.
• Lead incident response and escalation management, including post-mortems.
• Mentor engineers and support onboarding for contractor teams.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
• Identify automation opportunities and AI-driven tooling.
