Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Manager of Platform Engineering / DevOps to lead enterprise-scale cloud platforms in a fast-paced environment. You will own the roadmap, drive secure and scalable platform delivery, and mentor a team of engineers including contractors.

You will collaborate across security, networking, and applications to uphold high standards and reliable operations. You will guide adoption of GitOps, CI/CD, and SRE practices, ensuring production readiness and strong governance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in DevOps/platform engineering or SRE.
• 4+ years in team leadership or technical lead roles.
• Experience with GCP, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and IaC.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute platform engineering roadmap aligned to priorities.
• Drive delivery of GCP-based platform capabilities (GKE, IAM, networking, CI/CD, observability).
• Establish engineering standards and ADR compliance.
• Ensure security, compliance, and governance requirements (SOC2, HIPAA).
• Lead cross-functional collaboration and provide status reporting.
• Mentor engineers, manage contractors, and foster continuous improvement.
• Oversee incident response, runbooks, and production readiness.
• Support AI-driven operations and automation initiatives.
