Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or SRE.
• 4+ years of experience in team leadership or technical lead roles (5–10 engineers).
• 3+ years with GCP, GKE, IAM, networking, and monitoring.
• Kubernetes and container-based systems.
• CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows.
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, KCC, Kustomize).
• 4+ years of Agile/Scrum delivery and incident management.
• 1+ years with AI-driven operations or automation frameworks.
• 3+ years designing and troubleshooting cloud networking (VPCs, routing, load balancing, firewalls, DNS, hybrid connectivity).
• 3+ years in a production/support environment with on-call rotations.
• 3+ years with databases (SQL, Oracle, MongoDB, Cassandra, Cloud Spanner, Kafka).

Responsibilities

• Own and execute the H100 platform engineering roadmap, aligned to enterprise priorities and program milestones.
• Drive delivery of GCP-based platform capabilities (GKE, networking, IAM, CI/CD, observability).
• Establish and enforce engineering standards, best practices, and ADR compliance.
• Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and governance requirements (SOC2, HIPAA).
• Partner with client stakeholders and cross-functional teams (security, networking, applications).
• Provide clear status reporting, risk identification, and mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate dependencies across teams and delivery streams.
• Act as a technical and delivery point of contact for platform-related discussions.
• Oversee implementation of GCP landing zone components (resource hierarchy, IAM, networking).
• Guide adoption of GitOps models and CI/CD frameworks (Config Sync, ArgoCD, GitHub Actions).
• Monitor platform SLOs and operational metrics (uptime, MTTR, deployment frequency).
• Identify risks, capacity constraints, and improvement opportunities.
• Lead incident response and escalation management, including post-mortems.
• Ensure availability of runbooks, documentation, and operational procedures.
• Support SRE practices and production readiness models.
• Maintain platform reliability and operational stability.
• Lead a team of engineers (FTEs + contractors).
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance direction.
• Support knowledge sharing and onboarding for contractor teams.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
• Identify opportunities for automation and platform optimization.
• Support AI-driven operations and intelligent tooling.
• Evaluate cloud security posture and DevOps efficiency.
• Encourage adoption of modern platform engineering practices.
• Drive sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and Agile execution.
• Manage resource allocation and contractor utilization.
• Track SOW deliverables, milestones, and dependencies.
• Provide regular reporting on progress, risks, and capacity.
