Uber is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Membership team, shaping the future of the Uber One program across UberEats and UberX. You will architect scalable platforms, drive API design, and lead initiatives that enable millions of members to enjoy enhanced pricing, dedicated support, and premium benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years work experience in software engineering building large scale systems.
• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Go, Java, Python, Kotlin, Swift, C++).
• Strong fundamentals: algorithms, data structures, distributed systems, design and architecture.
• Proven experience owning critical large-scale platforms and reducing systemic debt.
• Proven ability to lead technical projects end-to-end through all lifecycle stages.
• Experience defining testing, monitoring, and alerting standards.
• Demonstrated leadership in building relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities to evolve Uber One across UberEats and UberX.
• Collaborate with engineers, PMs, Data Science and Designers to design, build, and optimize products used by millions.
• Architect robust, scalable systems and align tradeoffs between designs.
• Drive technical strategy for platform evolution, microservices, and API design.
• Cultivate engineering culture and improve velocity and quality.
