Job summary

Humana Inc. is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to keep the NBA platform healthy, reliable, and maintainable. You will work with Java/Drools, React/Node/Postgres, Node.js/Temporal, Kafka, and Databricks to diagnose issues and implement features across the stack.

You will monitor platform health, drive reliability, and contribute to performance and scale while collaborating with delivery pods and Decision Intelligence. Remote/Hybrid role with occasional travel and a 40-hour workweek.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience in production systems.
• Able to read, debug, and extend code in Java, Node.js/TypeScript, Python, and SQL.

Responsibilities

• Cross-Stack Maintenance across the full platform.
• Reliability engineering: monitor health and resolve bottlenecks and failures.
• Feature implementation across platform components for maintainability.
• Observability: extend logging, metrics, tracing, and alerts.
