Job summary

Humana seeks a Senior Full Stack Engineer for Platform Quality and Reliability to own the operational health of the NBA platform post‑build. This role is hands‑on, contributing code each sprint, ensuring production readiness, and maintaining rigorous testing and observability.

You will drive uptime, performance, and resilience across services, build testing frameworks, and own the logging/monitoring stack while coordinating with pod leads and contractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field.
• 5+ years designing, developing, and testing software and/or infrastructure.
• 4+ years full‑stack engineering with focus on reliability, quality, or SRE.
• Hands‑on experience with testing infrastructure and automated test suites.

Responsibilities

• Own uptime, performance, and resilience across NBA platform services.
• Write and ship production code; hands‑on contributor each sprint.
• Build and maintain automated testing across unit, integration, end‑to‑end layers.
• Own logging, monitoring, and alerting stack for production visibility.
• Design and enforce error handling and failure management in distributed systems.
• Lead scalability efforts as member volume grows and data throughput increases.
• Define criteria for handoff to production and enforce quality gates.
• Manage quality and reliability engineers within the pod; coordinate with leads.
