You will work across the Java/Drools, React/Node/Postgres, Node.js/Temporal, Kafka, and Databricks stacks to diagnose issues, improve reliability, and implement focused features.

This hands-on role emphasizes cross-team collaboration, on-call incident response, observability, and scalable design as member growth and data flow increase.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience building and operating production systems.
• Comfortable reading, debugging and extending code in Java, Node.js/TypeScript, Python, and SQL.
• Solid understanding of APIs, event-driven patterns, asynchronous processing, and failure handling.
• Hands-on experience with observability practices—logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting.
• Experience operating services on cloud infrastructure with containers/Kubernetes and CI/CD.
• Maintenance-minded with clean, well-documented code as a priority.
• Clear communicator who can explain systems and incidents to engineers and non-engineers alike.

Responsibilities

• Cross-Stack Maintenance: support services across the full platform and maintain knowledge of components and integration.
• Reliability Engineering: monitor platform health, investigate production issues, and resolve bottlenecks and scaling constraints.
• Feature Implementation: design and ship focused features and technical improvements for platform components.
• Observability: extend logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting for production visibility.
• Performance and scale: profile and tune components under load and help scale with growth.
• Quality: write tests, review code, and uphold engineering standards for production readiness.
• Incident response: participate in on-call rotation and lead root-cause analysis.
• Collaboration: work with delivery pods and Decision Intelligence for long-term ownership.
